| No, Peter & I haven't taken up triathlon, but we did have a great time as volunteers in the athletes garden at the IRONMAN 70.3 European Championships in Wiesbaden, Germany, yesterday. We were disappointed not to see Gill's name on the start list - little did we know she was competing on the world stage in Canada. And what an achievement - "Gill Fullen, World Champion!" How does that sound (and feel, Gill?).Especially showing all those younger women a clean pair of heels. What amazes me about Gill is the range of her talent, from 5km to Ironman Triathlon (as we know, she's just set the fastest 5km ever run by a woman Harrier). Many congratulations, Gill, we're really proud of you, and look forward to reading your race report. |
