Race Report.
A good crowd turned out today despite the school summer holidays and the weather
undecided on what it wanted to do. There was plenty of signage and marshals
along the course but that still does not make the zig zags any easier to climb!
There were quite a few fishing by the lake this morning and one of them was
cooking breakfast in his tent which smelled of bacon sandwiches, strangely
enough I did not see any runners venture into his tent for a nibble or
two. Fortunately no strange man was lurking with his camera today. I was set to
being last to finish, having to walk the 5k course again but I had done
exceptionally well at restraining myself until today. But it was just too
tempting when everyone else was running, so I thought that a short gentle run
should not do any harm. I wasn't last to finish but the minimal running took its
toll (now I know why I had strict instructions to walk). Wonder if rollerskating
would be allowed next time.....
