It was
wet and windy but this didn't detract from the beauty of the area around
Thorpeness on the Suffolk coast. The rotary club put on an excellent event
with a well marked and marshalled course. I took on the 26.2 mile run while
Sylvia accompanied our daughter for a half marathon walk. The first five miles
into the wind and rain along the beach seemed to go on forever but perhaps
wasn't as bad for the runners as it might sound. We had a nice run with mixed
terrain through sand dunes, villages, nature reserves, woods and so on. I'd
recommend putting this one in your diary for next years bank holiday.
