For marathon #94 I went in search of daffodils in the form of the Daffodil Dawdle, which is a Long Distance Walkers Association challenge event. We started in Kirtling which is between Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds. From there we were taken on a grand tour of many fine fields, woods, footpaths, tracks and lanes. Unfortunately the daffodils didn't co-operate - I think I have more in my garden than we saw today. It must be something to do with Bedford's micro climate! But that didn't detract from a very well organised event. For most of it I ran with like minded friends from Dunstable, Flitwick and MK running clubs. Coming up to the halfway point it looked like I would be finishing in around 4 hours but the second half of the course put paid to that as it threw in more longer hills and the occassional ploughed field. I'm quite happy with the 4:48 on the certificate.
