On Sunday 23rd September I took part in
the Harvest Trail Half Marathon organised by the Royston Runners starting from
the Heath Sports Club in Royston. This was the first time of running this
event and was also my first trail half marathon, and is an upgrade of the
highly successful Harvest Trail 10 Miler run. It was set in the beautiful but
hilly Hertforshire countryside (with one hill being known to the Royston
Runners as 'cardiac hill'!) and even though I managed to take a 'tumble' about
2 miles from the end, I was happy with my 02:36:16. I would recommend it to
all runners especailly those who like trail runs.
