Again these relays fell on the day after our Doug Anderson 5k club championship race – so only a few Harriers signed up for this really enjoyable relay event.
We entered a men’s team, 2 ladies and as we had odd numbers Gary asked the organisers if we could enter a mixed team and we were allowed although not able to score. We had our group photo taken by the nominated photographer for the event Stuart Knight and then into the starting line for the A runners and off they went at an alarming pace! It was only 3k………. B runners were called into the ‘holding pen’ and it was quite formidable for me as I was getting the handover from Gary who would be fast and I was mingling with the fast boys!! But it was Adam who was the first Harrier in and off went Keith and then myself followed by the other 2 lady teams. It is a good spectator course and we were able to cheer in our teams, although no prizes, we all had a thoroughly enjoyable evening with some excellent times. Well done to all our teams!!
