Harriers Triathlon Kit

Harriers Triathlon Kit is available for the start of the 2009 season. The kit consists of the Sugoi'Tri tank' style of top and separate shorts plus arm warmers. They are the same style as the 'Team Bedford' tops which we have been used successfully in all distances up to Ironman.  Although they are best for warm weather training / racing, you can always put a base layer underneath for colder days.

The tops are in region of £30 and the matching shorts £25. Arm warmers will be about £15. Sizes go from 28" to 40" unisex and womens. See Richard Piron, Alastair Fadden, Tony Parello or Steve Crane for further details.

The Triathlon kit is now available either from the Stadium Mondays and Wednesdays before training or at BHSG pool on Saturday mornings.  Please see Christine Parello and fill in an order form.  You can try the kit on first and pay by cheque (preferable) or cash.

-SWIM SESSIONS-

Harriers Swimming training / coaching at Bedford High School Pool continues with 3 lanes until 4th July.  From the 11th to 25th July we will have 2 lanes.  We hope to continue with *2 lanes through August and go back to 4 lanes from September 5th.
 
* Only If Bedford Traktors also continue with their 2 lanes.

All abilities welcome - Saturdays  7am to 8am - Cost is £3 per session - pay on arrival. (Bedford High School pool,   Bromham Road) 
 
If you are a qualified swim coach or you have enough swimming experience to be able to coach we would very much appreciate your help at the pool - perhaps even on alternate Saturdays.

BOX END SWIMMING NOW OPEN

Open Water swimming  - We are now regularly using Box End Park - mainly Tuesday and Thursday evenings (after 8pm) and Saturday mornings.  If you are new to O/W swimming and don't fancy diving straight in with the masses, contact me and I'll be happy to take you on your first outing when its quiet.  richardpiron@hotmail.co.uk

The 2009 Triathlon Championship Race.

This summer we are targetting the Box End (Sprint) Triathlon at the Bedford Multisport weekender - 30th August - 750m swim (almost 1 lap of the small lake) 20k bike, 5k run.   Next summer we are likely to target 3 different distance races to make it more interesting !
