Phil Gray Reports on the Race

'A cracking April morning as yours truly was in action with the camera again. Why? A little matter of the Stanwick 10k near Rushden, which acted as the Club 10k Championship. Bedford Harriers out in numbers in the village of Stanwick including Elaine, Nora and Donna. Minutes ticking away as I captured some pre-race images before the main event at 10.30 am. I located at about 1k to capture the initial action before returning to near the finish at about 9k for countless images as a field of about 300 addressed an undulating 10k. Winning time was 34 minutes and Mark Pryor was the first Harrier on the day and chased all the way by Alistair and Stuart Trevallion, fresh from his sub 3 hour Rotterdam Marathon the previous weekend. Donna again doing the business on the day as first Harrier lady { second lady on the day } and chased all the way by Andrea and Sally. This trio secured the Ladies Team prize on the day. More prizes were secured by the club as at least 50 Harriers went the distance on the day.
