On Saturday I went up to Quorn in Leicestershire to
run the Charnwood Marathon. This was an LDWA style event organised by the
rotary club, with walkers and runners following written instructions. On the
train I'd thought that the area looked flat but whoever set the course had
other ideas. With the Grizzly and the Clanger still in my legs I took it
reasonably easily and soon settled down to a companionable run with Glyn from
the Leighton Fun Runners. Our efforts were rewarded with some great scenery
and spectacular views.
