It was an amazing experience to run around the Olympic Park, then to run into the stadium to sprint the last 300 metres and be cheered home by the crowd - it made it an easy 5 miles. I was really proud to represent the Harriers and have a chance to compete for myself and the club. Entertainment was great with Flawless dance group and Escala the violinists there! Whilst Nell McAndrew did beat me to win my age category, I came 9th in my category and beat Sporty Spice, and had a PB to make my day extra special!!!
