38m 46s (walking)
Three November Hove park-runs, in the absence of any nearby walking
events, have provided the opportunity for getting back into action, albeit
at a really pedestrian pace, after an enforced lapse of several months.
Why Hove? It has so happened that a move from Hampshire to East Sussex
has resulted in finding myself living about 8 minutes walk from Hove Park,
where the undulating tarmic footpaths are also ideal for traffic-free
training.
Local enthusiasm for this event, with an average turnout of up to 400, is
such that a Christmas Day event is now threatened.
Special good wishes to all Harriers competing at ANY athletic event
during the festive season!
