Very popular race which might have something to do with the bottled beer
handed out at the finish. The rain kept off but we ran into a howling wind
after half way all the way back up the hill (+piper) at 8km to the finish
- so David's sub 40min was quite an achievement. It was good to see
Catherine back racing after an injury year off - although she did tell me
at the start she was only going slow - it took me a kilometre to catch her
up. Was passed at 4km by a Del boy and Rodney dressed as Batman and Robin
pushing a 3 wheeler pram (+baby) painted in washed out yellow colour (tax
in the post) .... well I THINK I was ...I might of been hallucinating by
then.
