Some good early season form shown at Stamford with the three Harriers who ran in the race last year all running faster times in 2005. Tony Dadd, who was the first Harrier to finish and the 30th overall in a field of more than 500 ran 2:01:34, an improvement of 22 secs on last year. Jack Chana whose times so far in 2005 are all up on 2004, finished in 2:45:52 a 90 secs improvement on 2004 and Suet Lua ran 2:59:09 which was more than eight mins faster than last year.
The first three lady Harriers to finish - Veronica Singleton (2:19:45), Donna McEwen (2:27:18) and Delores Wallis (2:30:29) also did well and picked up the ladies team award.
