3 Counties Cross Country Wellingborough 25-10-15

Race Report

It was a bright and sunny day for the season’s first 3 Counties cross country race at Wellingborough and the Clubs Championship race.

There was a sea of yellow congregating outside to have a celebratory photo for the Harriers 30th anniversary.  In total 70 runners with fellow supporters were there to watch the hilly, muddy and 4 water crossing race. Mud and mayhem was all around, excellent performance from all and a thoroughly enjoyable race day.  Roll and cakes as always to follow our hard efforts.

What a spectacular race it was with a fantastic result from you Harriers - our best ever result!,

It was great to see our team up there challenging Ampthill & Flitwick Flyers. Bedford Harriers combined 2nd and only 15 points behind the usual favourites!

Some fantastic individual efforts on this challenging course especially Steve Horton with his 1st place and Chris Dilley with his 5th.

We must keep this momentum going throughout the season, so don't rely on somebody else turning up on the day please get yourself to as many races as possible WE NEED YOU ALL!!!

Maybe we can push Ampthill & Flitwick even harder??

I think it’s going to be an exceptional season for Bedford Harriers.

The list is up for Wootton on November 8th - get your names down!
