About Doug Anderson - by son Tim

Bedford born and bred, my father came from a working class background and developed a strong work ethic and moral beliefs. He took up running when life began at 40 and joined a local club. A bond was formed with some like minded runners and a breakaway club was formed with a different outlook and direction- Bedford Harriers. The club brought my father enjoyment and achievement over the years organising race events for the club and competing in races all over the country and Europe. At 59 he was diagnosed with cancer and sadly lost his fight at 60.

This race celebrates his efforts and involvement to form Bedford Harriers. There is no requirement to make a donation or get sponsorship for my dad's race but if we all ignore cancer it won’t go away. Give generously. http://www.justgiving.com/timanderson
